A member of the mint family. Native to the Mediterranean and Asia, rosemary is used for flavouring foods, such as stuffing, roast lamb, pork, chicken and turkey. Roasted with meats or vegetables it imparts a mustard-like aroma and a charred wood scent.
Contains anti-inflammatory compounds that may be useful for reducing the severity of asthma attacks. Also, substances useful for stimulating the immune system, improving digestion, increasing circulation and blood flow to the head and brain.
