Moorland Gold 'peat run off' refers to the naturally eroded peat particles that wash off moorlands and are collected from rivers by water treatment companies as a byproduct of their filtration process. The filtered peat is then used to create Moorland Gold, considered a more sustainable option as it utilises a naturally occurring peat byproduct instead of excavating peat from the moorland itself.
